Tendinopathy

Tendinopathy is the broad term for a condition affecting the tendons of the body.

You may have heard of tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, jumper’s knee or Achilles tendinopathy, but nearly any tendon in the body can be affected.

Tendinopathies can occur from an episode of high load, or repeated sub-maximal loads that the body is unable to recover from.

These can be very painful conditions, so it’s tempting to completely rest them.

But - resting doesn’t change the ability of that tendon to do its job.

We will work with you to identify the activities that may be aggravating the tendon and ways to modify them, identify any contributing factors, and slowly build the tendon back up to ensure you can get back to doing what you want to do.
